We are an independent company selling some of the very finest leaf teas, tisanes and teaware from around the world. We want to source our own teas so we can tell you exactly where each one comes from and are constantly searching for growers and suppliers who we can work with.
In addition, because we are also very passionate about great art and design we want our teas to look their best, so we’re collaborating with artists, designers and illustrators to dream up an evolving and exciting creative led brand. Working with artists makes our life in tea even more exciting and provides our artists with a platform to showcase their work.
David is a musician, designer, serial traveller, entrepreneur and serious tea connoisseur.
His first degree was in music & composition at The University of Huddersfield. Before undertaking a masters degree in multimedia technology he worked in sales for a few different companies selling products as diverse as insurance and antibiotics. After graduating with distinction from Edinburgh’s Napier University he travelled through South East Asia to Australia where he got his first job as a web designer in Sydney. He has travelled extensively since then to over 40 countries.
When not drinking tea, working or travelling David likes to get on his mountain bike and has just started learning to play the bass guitar. He also enjoys taking photographs, scuba diving and playing 8-ball pool. Above all else he likes exploring the world seeking out the best teas – David has been tea hunting in Darjeeling, Sikkim and Nilgiri.
Hannah is an artist, photographer, traveller and lover of all things tea.
Until she decided to dedicate her life to tea, Hannah worked as a user experience designer for the BBC at Television Centre in London. She originally trained as a fine artist and media designer at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and also works as a professional artist creating abstract landscape canvases inspired by her tea travels. Her website and online gallery can be found at www.hannahscott.com.
As a seasoned traveller, Hannah loves going off the beaten track to remote locations and getting lost in far off lands. On her last trip she drove an ambulance from London to Mongolia to benefit Dorothy House Hospice. In recent tea travels she visited estates in Japan, Darjeeling and Sikkim.
